We have all been there, where you just apply for any position you can find, out of pure desperation to find a new job or to get back into the job market.
Our advice is to the contrary – Please don’t apply for roles where you meet the minimum criteria, or they sound “interesting” to you.
Read the advertisement, assess your capabilities, check the geographical location and do your research on the company. Then, and only then, submit a proper application aligning your skills to the role, to avoid misrepresentation, embarrassment or “crickets”!
